Ibis Rouen Centre Rive Gauche Mermoz

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We had a nice view out the back from our room. We had the breakfast which was excellent. A nice hotel and a fairly short walk to the promenade running along the side of the Seine where there are plenty of restaurants and bars to visit.

1. Very friendly and helpful staff. 2. Good location, directly accessing the highway and about 15 min walking to the city centre. I enjoy walking a lot, so that wasn’t a problem. And every day we did day trips by car, so the access to the highway was very convenient. 3. Very clean. 4. We had paid parking in the hotel, but if you don’t really mind, there’s a big parking area in front of the hotel and a staff member called it very safe.

The hotel is located immediately outside of Rouen city centre. Personally I found pretty easy to park my car in the surroundings, although the facility has its own parking facility embedded. The staff at the reception was very kind and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, and I really appreciated the shower with possibility of setting up hot water in terms of exact temperature.

The trip was made for a few of us to run a local "parkrun". The hotel was perfectly placed as a 10 minute walk from the meeting point for us. Also, on location - the hotel overlooks Rouen rugby club which would fantastic if you travelled for that purpose. The balcony and path to the car park, as well as all EVEN numbered rooms have a clear view over the ground itself. The overall cleanliness of the hotel and rooms was exceptional and the room sizes also were relatively large for a cheap stay.

Easy access from motorway. Secure parking with direct access to hotel reception. Excellent breakfast buffet plentiful and varied. Friendly staff. Air con in room
